Photo Walk: East Point Sanctuary

$25.00

Join Neil for a leisurely walk along the trail at the East Point Audubon Sanctuary in Biddeford, ME. The trail is a relatively flat out and back with a distance of about 1.6 miles. We will be out on the walk for 1-2 hours. Over the course of the walk, Neil will talk and answer questions about the principles of photo composition and how to use your camera settings to get the proper exposure and composition you want. Bring your own camera (mirrorless, DSLR, film, and phone* welcome) and learn to shoot with your own equipment. This beginner-friendly walk will get you outdoors and practicing photography.

Highlights of this walk include Maine’s rocky coastline, sweeping views of the ocean and Wood Island Lighthouse, and a portion of the trail through the woods. There is ample opportunity for birding as the sanctuary supports many different species of birds throughout the year. Find out more through the Maine Audubon website.

Please purchase tickets in advance. Event is limited to 10 people. Please be respectful of the rules of the public and private land encountered during the photo walk. Parking may be limited and carpooling is encouraged. 20% of ticket price will be donated to Maine Audubon after completion of the walk.

*Phones are welcome for photo walks, but may have limitations on the control that you will have over your exposure and other settings.
